And At Dusk Do We Part

Every day at the break of dawn

we meet—with a yawn and somewhat indrawn.

But as the day goes by, the birds chirp in the sky, the sun shines, our spirits rise and our bodies warm through the sun's rays.

We grow in excitement—we’re ablaze.

Yet every day, when sunlight begins to diminish, we know that the feeling of warmth and love will soon finish.

I begin to dread our time apart,

for it weighs heavily on my heart—

when at Dusk do we part.
